Minorities Affairs Minister asks power utility companies to exempt feeders from loading sheding on Diwali KARACHI (02November): Sindh Minorities Affairs Minister Giyan Chand Essarani on Tuesday asked power utility companies operating in Sindh province to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity on the eve of Diwali falling on November 4. The Provincial Minister contacted K-Electric, Hesco and Sepco authorities and asked them to exempt electricity feeders from loading sheding covering the areas of Temples and other worship places of Hindu community. He added that Sindh Chief Minister had directed Sindh police and other law enforcement agencies to tighten up the security of Temples and uninterrupted supply of electricity would facilitate the security personnel to keep an eye on miscreants during the largest religious festival of Hindu community. The Minister also contacted Administrators of local bodies and directed them to make special arrangements of cleanliness and keep street lights functional around the Temples so that Hindu community has no difficulty in celebrating its festival.
